Annette Snider Snow

| December 29, 2012 5:00 AM

Annette Snider Snow was born on November 9, 1919 and went to celebrate with the heavenly hosts on December 24, 2012 at the age of 93.

She was born in Sunnyside, Washington and grew up in Eastern Washington where she graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in Spokane in 1938.  She remembered fondly going to dances at the Davenport Hotel while in high school.  After graduation, Nettie, as she was lovingly called, moved to southern California.  She was a career woman working until retirement at Security Pacific bank as a personal banker to many famous Hollywood names.

While working at the bank, on a dare she wrote to a co-worker's brother who was stationed in Italy during WWII. That correspondence to Ben E. Snow resulted in 63 years of a loving marriage until his passing in 2009.

Upon their retirement they moved to Rancho Murieta, California and in 1998 moved to Moses Lake to be closer to family.

Aunt Nettie was the perfect aunt to three generations of beloved nieces and nephews.  She was very generous and loved to shower those she loved with tokens of her affection.  Christmas was always great fun to see "what Aunt Nettie had sent".  There were lovely little dresses, stacks of Harry & David treats, silver serving pieces and much, much more.  Nettie and Ben also loved to travel, with England being a favorite place.

The family wishes to thank Hearthstone and Hospice for their kind treatment of Nettie during her final days.

Annette is survived by loving nieces and nephews including Carol (Jon) Lane, Norma (Lynn) Pittman, Bill (Yvonne) Snider (San Diego, CA) and Marilyn (Ric) Heidiger (Shoreline, WA) and their families.

Services for Annette will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 28th at First Presbyterian Church, 1142 W. Ivy, Moses Lake, with interment preceding at Pioneer Memorial Gardens.  Kayser's Chapel is in charge of arrangements.  Please visit www.kayserschapel.com to leave a message for the family and sign the online guest book.  Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel & Crematory.
