| December 23, 2012 5:05 AM

MOSES LAKE - In keeeping with the spirit of the Christmas season, the Freedom Wrestling Academy wanted to give back to the community that gives a lot of support to them.

On Dec. 18 the wrestlers met at their practice facility, put on their warm up sweats, rolled up a small mat and loaded up in cars.

But this trip didn't end up at a wrestling tournament or a gym, it ended the Moses Lake Senior Living Community facility.

Once inside, the Academy rolled out the mat, and each wrestler explained who they were and thanked the residents for their support. Afterward the wrestlers showed various moves and how points are scored.

Following the demonstration, Melba Janke, Academy secretary, sat down at the piano, the wrestlers gathered around her, and they all sang Christmas carols.

At the end of the singing kids handed out candy canes and made their way around the facility visiting the residents.
