CBSS girls basketball races past Jaguars
CBSS Phoenix Basketball
MOSES LAKE - Crystal Lloyd scored 19 points, pulled down 7 rebounds, had 7 steals, 4 blocks and dished out 11 assists to lead the Columbia Basin Secondary School (CBSS) to a 53-26 win over the Jaguars Tuesday.
Amber Lloyd added 16 points and 21 boards; Jayslie Balanay contributed 12 points, and Amree Kimball finished with 6 points, 6 rebounds and 3 steals in the winning effort.
The Phoenix had little trouble with Easton as the home team led 13-8 at the end of the first eight minutes of action, and was up 29-14 at the break.
CBSS continued to roll in the second half of action, out scoring the Jaguars 24-12 to win going away.
The victory over Easton improves the Phoenix to 1-2 in league play and 3-4 overall.
CBSS is back on the court tomorrow night when the Phoenix takes a short bus ride to Moses Lake Christian Academy to take on the undefeated Lions. The game is scheduled to get underway at 6 p.m.
