NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that there has been proposed to the Franklin County Planning Commission an application by Edgar and Linda Autrey, 62 School Road, Eltopia, WA for a Conditional Use Permit, CUP 2012-10.

FRANKLIN COUNTY

Said application is to have a private dog kennel at a single family residence located on 3.54 acres in the Rural Com.munity 1 (C-1) Zoning District. The applicant is requesting the kennel permit in order to have 11 dogs at the property. The permit is for the owners’ personal dogs only and not for the boarding of dogs or for commercial purposes. The Franklin County Zoning Ordinance requires conditional use permit approval whenever four or more adults dogs are kept on a property.

The subject parcel is described as follows:

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Lot 4, Short Plat 2005-10.

NON-LEGAL DESCRIPTION: The 3.54 acre property is lo.cated in Eltopia, south of Eltopia West Road, along the west side of School Road near site address 62 School Road (Parcel Number 123-460-097).

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that said application will be considered by the Franklin County Planning Commission. Said consideration will be a public hearing on January 8, 2013 at the hour of 7:00 p.m. in the Franklin County Courthouse, Commissioners Meeting Room, 1016 North 4th Avenue, Pasco, WA 99301 and all concerned may appear and present any support for or objections to the application. Written comments are accepted prior to the public hearing and those comments shall be submitted to the Franklin County Planning Department.
