Taxi driver robbed

MOSES LAKE – A 63-year-old Moses Lake man was robbed On November 26 while carrying out his duties as a taxi driver.

Grant County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the robbery on Shaw St. NE at 6:30 p.m. They were told by the victim that he was working as a taxi driver and had just arrived in the 1300 block of Shaw St NE. to pick up a fare.

The victim told deputies that a large black male and a skinny Hispanic male got into his vehicle, physically assaulted him by grabbing him around the neck and holding a knife to the side of his head while demanding his wallet, which he gave to the suspects.

According to deputies, the victim said the suspects exited the vehicle and took off running on foot between the nearby houses. The victim did not sustain any injury but was shaken up in the ordeal.
