Rodriguez' bail set at $2 million

EPHRATA - Bail was set at $2 million for the man accused of binding, gagging and shooting Tracy C. Fullbright.

Prosecutors charged Adrian Rodriguez, 28, of Moses Lake, with first-degree murder and first-degree kidnapping in Grant County Superior Court Monday, according to court records.

Grant Superior Court Judge John Antosz set the bail, Prosecutor Angus Lee stated. Rodriguez is expected to enter a plea Dec. 18.

Rodriguez, Fullbright and four other people were reportedly at Rodriguez' Robin Lane home when Rodriguez accused Fullbright of touching Rodriguez' daughter inappropriately, according to a Grant County Sheriff's report. Rodriguez allegedly punched Fullbright several times before tying Fullbright's hands behind his back with a bandana, and put a bandana across Fullbright's mouth.

"Rodriguez then used duct tape to secure Fullbright's hands and mouth, placing the tape over the top of the bandanas he had already placed," according to the police report.

When Fullbright was laying on the floor of the residence, Rodriguez reportedly said he planned to kill Fullbright, according to the police report. He ordered Fullbright to walk to a vehicle before placing the man in the trunk.

A second man reportedly drove Rodriguez to a spot on Road L Northeast before stopping the vehicle, according to the police report. Rodriguez allegedly couldn't get the trunk open, so he ordered Fullbright to open the trunk from the inside and Fullbright complied.

A witness reportedly heard Rodriguez fire two volleys before he got back into the car, according to the police report. He allegedly told the driver he could hear Fullbright's chest gurgling.

Rodriguez reportedly confessed to a second witness, telling her he fired until the gun jammed, according to the police report.
