KITTITAS - Anna Yarbro scored 19 points and hauled down 21 rebounds to help lead the Moses Lake Christian Academy (MLCA) girls basketball team to a 52-24 road win over Kittitas Friday.

Although the outcome of the game was one-sided, the Lions held a slim 10-6 lead at the end of the first quarter of play.

"This was kind of an interesting game because we felt like we had Kittitas scouted pretty well," coach Bryce McPartland said. "But after watching our initial game plan devolve into a 6-6 tie through the first few minutes of the first quarter, we had to make some adjustments."

Whatever the adjustments McPartland deemed necessary, they worked to perfection as MLCA shut out the Coyotes in the second quarter of action and took a 24-6 lead into the locker room at the half.

Kittitas, determined to stay in the game, put 12 points on the board in the third quarter, but the Lions added 16 of their own to race out to a 40-18 score and never looked back.

The Coyotes managed to put six points on MLCA in the fourth quarter of play, but it was all for not as the Lions doubled their tally to win going away, 52-24.

The win over Kittitas runs the Lady Lions record to 3-0. MLCA is back in action tomorrow when the Lions travel to Soap Lake to take on the Eagles.
