Reader favors expanded MLIRD board

As I watch this election approach I'm struck by several things. First, we have a board president who conducts meetings like Moe of the three stooges, and that's not being fair to the Moe. On the other side, we have a board director who is crazy in love with spending other people's money, which it turns out may have been taxed illegally. Finally, we have a guy who is an absolute sock puppet for the hyperactive Moe, and who rubberstamps every moronic idea that Moe comes up with.

Stepping into this are two people who are also less than pure. One is hand- picked by the Moe to be the next sock puppet who rubberstamps all the silly ideas. The other guy who wants the job was campaign manager for the guy who spends like money falls from the sky, and who will, undoubtedly, be a sock puppet equally willing to rubberstamp uncontrolled spending.

Is anyone else embarrassed by what's going on at these meetings? Is anyone else embarrassed that the employees unionized to protect their jobs? Is anyone stunned that an attorney was so repulsed by this board that he quit a paying job?

All of this would be funnier, I guess, if I wasn't watching it, and paying for it, from a house that doesn't even have a view of the lake.

We need a larger board to increase the possibility that we can attract adult, ethical and educated people to run this organization.
