Ag Parade a hit

| December 4, 2012 5:05 AM

Moses Lake - Although dozens of skillfully decorated and brightly lit farm equipment made its way through downtown Moses Lake Friday night during the Ag Appreciation Parade, it was clear that Santa Claus was the event's main star.

The parade, hosted by the Moses Lake Business Association, featured a handful of Santa characters, but the crowd gathered in LakeTown Landing cheered equally for each St. Nick sighting.

"Hi Santa," shouted one Moses Lake boy when one of the Santa characters passed him. "Please come visit my house!"

More than 20 decorated trucks, tractors and trailers participated this year, according to event organizers. Local businesses, agricultural companies and farmers handed out candy and other items during the parade.

Participants also enjoyed free donuts and cider courtesy of the staff at Dr. Rory Knapp's dentist clinic.

MLBA also provided a fire pit for the public to roast marshmallows during the parade.
