Reader decries 'cut and paste' political categories

You are who you are by the strength of your character and the force of your personality. Dennis Knepp cuts and pastes us all to fit neatly into his two categories. I didn't like mine much, how about you? There is not much freedom when someone can assign you a viewpoint - not very liveral. Mutual respect, freedom of expression, and freedom of conscience are the founding stones of our beloved Republic. But as for labels, call me an American, and I'll grant you the same thing. And if you have an opinion, I would like to hear it, but divisive straw-man arguments don't build up anyone.
