Elections matter for country's future

| August 31, 2012 6:00 AM

Four years ago during the Presidential campaign we were treated to what seemed like a high school ASB election or prom royalty election complete with pep rallies by the media. Very few questions were asked about Obama's past and what he really believes. Thus we had millions of voters vote for "Leader of the Free World" based on the following: "He is cute, he is young, he can dance, he is black, he promises hope and change, he is cool, he plays basketball." His socialist background, his father's beliefs, his 20 years with Jeremiah Wright and Black Liberation Theology( right out of Marxist teaching), his sealed college records, and his total lack of experience or leadership did not seem to matter.

So now we have a President who promised to "fundamentally transform" America. Nobody asked him what that meant either!

America is the greatest country with the greatest economic system the world has ever seen. Even our poor live a better lifestyle than many country's wealthy. However, our President does not believe in "American Exceptionalism". He believes America is the problem for the evils in the world. That is why he traveled the world apologizing as soon as he became president. His goal is to systematically bring America down a few notches, while at the same time promoting wealth redistribution and the Government takeover of private industry. He really is not a fan of the Constitution.

This election will determine whether we try to solve our budget deficit and maintain our free market system or we give up and go with socialism as Obama supports. Just look at what is happening in Europe if you want to see what will happen to us with another Obama term. Every voter needs to do some homework this time. Read either "Roots of Obama's Rage" or "Obama's America" both by Dinesh D'Souza. There is also a movie playing in theaters called "2016; Obama's America". Hopefully our local theater will have it soon!

America's future depends on this election. Romney and Ryan will try to save the American Dream. Obama and Biden want to change it to their "new normal"!
