Smith stays hot in women's golf

CRESCENT BAR - Wendy Smith had the hot hand in Crescent Bar Golf Course women's golf on Aug. 14, garnering three honors.

Smith won low gross and low net in the second division with scores of 117 and 77. She also had closest-to-the-pin in her division with an effort of 2-6.

Vickie Brissey also shot 117 to tie Smith for the gross honor.

The gross winner in the first division was Carol Prinzen with 105. The net winner in the same division with 73, was Patty McNaughton.

Long putt in the first division, at 9-10, went to Mavis Bennett. Betty Mansfield took the same honor in the second division with 20-6.

The game of the day - guess your net - ended in a tie between Prinzen, Mansfield and Eileen Hoene.

Margaret Linder scored a chip-in on hole No. 16, and Wilma DeLeeuw did the same on No. 13.
