MOSES LAKE - Moses Lake police officers arrested a man Thursday morning for an alleged drive-by shooting.

Edglar A. Serrano, 28, of Moses Lake, was taken into custody at the 2400 block of West Marina Drive.

Officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of West Marina Drive around 3:30 a.m. after gunfire was reported.

Nearby resident Bob Petty reported that shots were fired, but officials said they had already received the report.

"We were awoken by gunshots," Petty said. "There were seven or eight, plus the sound of a shotgun shot."

Police were able to determine that an occupied residence was struck with bullets, and that there were no injuries.

Officers ascertained a suspect, and located Serrano and the suspect vehicle a few blocks away.

Serrano was booked into Grant County Jail without incident. The case is still under investigation.

Police encourage anyone with information to contact them at 509-764-3887 or 509-762-1160.
