Richard Wayne Cariveau

Long time Soap Lake resident Richard Wayne Cariveau, known by his friends as Buck, age 71, passed away on August 13, 2012 at Provence Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, WA. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle. Born on January 26, 1941 to Donald J. Cariveau & Claire R. Cariveau. He will truly be missed by all that knew and love him.

He worked at many of the Dam's and was a member of the Boiler Maker Union 242 for over 37 years. He was also a long time member of the Eagles in Ephrata, WA.

He is survived by seven daughters: Debbie Cariveau, Joann Tudor, Tina Seelye, Cheri Cariveau, Emma Cariveau, Lisa Valdez, Eugenia Cariveau, and one son Joseph Powell. One brother Donald Cariveau, three sisters: Nikki Skinner, Diane Raaen, Peggy Robb, 29 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren numberous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and grandson Michael L. Proper.

Holy Rosary will be prayed at 1:30 p.m., Friday, August 24, 2012 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 200 N. Dale Road. Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow the Rosary at 2:00 p.m. Family and friends will be having a gathering at Montlake Park located at 401 Linden Avenue in Moses Lake, following the service.
