QUINCY - The Reiman-Simmons House's annual fund raiser for the Educational Fund for Children - Quincy Summer Tropical Tango Party this year - will be held on Saturday, Aug. 25.

The Quincy Summer Tropical Tango Party will go from 4-7 p.m. on the landscaped grounds of the historic Reiman-Simmons House. This will be the eighth year raising money for the Quincy Valley Historical Society's Educational Fund for Children.

"In addition, this provides the Quincy community with a wonderful summer social event," party co-chair Mara Jacobs said.

The Quincy Summer Tropical Tango Party will showcase Patron Ultra Premium Tequilas, Pyrat Premium Rum and craft beers. There will be tequila masters to explain the different aspects of tequilas and serve hand shaken scratch margaritas or fresh fruit mojitos.

Tapas will be provided by The Grainery to compliment the Tropical Tango theme.

"Our purpose is to make this event truly memorable and encourage our guests to return year after year while increasing our donation to the educational fund," Jacobs said.

Guests may purchase a ticket for $30 before the event or $35 the day of the event. It allows them to stroll through the grounds sampling tequilas, enjoying a margarita or craft beer and sampling scrumptious tapas.

"This while listening to live music, bidding on amazing silent auction items, participating in fun games or joining in on a blind tasting area and voting on their favorite infused tequilas," Jacobs said.

Guests will be able to purchase Patron Tequilas to take home.

Tickets are available at the Quincy Chamber of Commerce - qvcc@quincyvalley.org - The Grape, The Grainery and Barb's Place.
