Mary Woolverton takes golf women's top position

CRESCENT BAR - Mary Woolverton scored a gross 106 to top the field in the July 31 women's day competition at the Crescent Bar Golf Course.

Woolverton also scored a closest-to-the-pin victory, with 14-9.5. And she was a game of the day - nine holes chosen before start of play - in the first division.

The gross score winner in the second division was Wendy Smith with 117. She was also the net winner with 76. And Patty McNaughton was the first division net winner with 71.

There was a long putt winner in division one, Wilma DeLeeuw with an effort of 16-5. Vickie Brissey won second division game of the day.

Chip-ins were scored by Jan Harris on hole No. 2, Tressa Kleyn on No. 7, Eileen Hoene on No. 12, DeLeeuw on No. 13 and Candy Lennon on No. 15.
