Sagebrush golf scheduled

DESERT AIRE - The Sagebrush Senior Center at Desert Aire will hold its annual golf tournament and auction this Friday, August 10.

"It is not too late to sign up to golf," spokeswoman Kathy Meredith said. "Contact the pro shop at the Desert Aire Golf Course."

The auction, at the senior center, will commence after the golf, at about 12:30 p.m. Lunch will be served at the same time.

"If you don't want to golf and just want to come to lunch and the auction, the cost will be $8," Meredith said.

You may call the senior center at 932-4725 and leave a message if you plan to attend.

"It is our major fund raiser of the year," said Meredith, who serves as secretary of the Sagebrush board of directors.

The auction will have a large selection of items, including a load of gravel from Central Pre-mix, a Stay and Play package from Wildhorse Casino and a gift-card basket worth more than $300.

There will also be a brand new TV, computer monitor, brunch for six, a dessert for one individual six times during the year, rounds of golf, and baskets loaded with other items.

"Please come and support this main fund raiser for our community center," Meredith said.
