Grant County has issued a Mitigated Determination of Non-Significance (MDNS) under the State Environmental Policy Act Rules (WAC Chapter 197-11) for the following project: A Conditional Use Permit for a surface mining operation.

MITIGATED DETERMINATION OF NON-SIGNIFICANCE

Grant County has issued a Mitigated Determination of Non-Significance (MDNS) under the State Environmental Policy Act Rules (WAC Chapter 197-11) for the following project: A Conditional Use Permit for a surface mining operation. The operation will include mining, crushing, and stockpiling of aggregates to be used for road maintenance and construction within Grant County. The subject area is an approximately 40-acre portion of Parcel #16-0138-000. The site is located on the east side of Rd. E SW, in a portion of the S 1/2 of S. 20, T. 16 N, R. 26 E, W.M., Grant County, WA.

After a review of a completed Environmental Checklist and other information on file with the Planning Department, Grant County has determined that this proposal does not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment as conditioned.

Office hours: 8 am-12 noon, 1-5 pm, M-F. The public is invited to comment on this MDNS by submitting written comments to Rick Rettig at the above address no later than 5 pm on August 21, 2012.
