Bennett wins for ladies golf

CRESCENT BAR - Mavis Bennett was a winner for the second week in a row, taking first division low gross honors at the Crescent Bar Golf Course women's day on August 24.

Bennett's winning score was 104. Her round included a chip-in on hole No. 12.

The second division low gross winner, with 116, was Judy Barnes. The low net winners were Wilma DeLeeuw and Rose Olsen in the first division with 73 and Lynn Murray in the second division with 75.

Margaret Linder scored first division honors twice. She made long putt on No.7 with an effort of 7-2, and she was closest to the pin on No. 5 with an effort of 6-9.

In the second division, Tressa Kleyn was the long putt winner at 43-7. Vickie Brissey won KP with a shot that landed 5-7 from the hole.

The game of the day - most putts - was won by Mary Woolverton and Brissey. DeLeeuw chipped in on No. 15, and Laurie Leahy chipped in on No. 12.
