Reader weighs in on Colorado shooting

As a retired public school and university administrator, a life member of the NRA, and a firm believer in our country's freedom guaranteed by the second amendment I've noticed that almost all of the horrific attacks such as the one most recently in Aurora, Colorado have happened in so-called "weapons free zones". They are not about the attacker's weapons or ammunition, they are about a crazed mind and opportunity. Only one law abiding citizen in the audience with a small caliber gun who knew how to use it, could have neutralized the whole event.
