Dale Arthur Fisher

Dale Arthur Fisher, 86, longtime Moses Lake resident passed away Friday, July 27, 2012. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Kayser's Chapel of Memories, Moses Lake. Dale Arthur Fisher was born to Halton and Cicily Fisher in Alberta, Canada on Sept. 1, 1925. They moved to Whitefish, Montana in 1936 and he married Caroline in 1942 and moved to Moses Lake in 1943. Dale worked in construction and traveled the western United States for many years, he worked on the Larson A.F.B. runway project, JJ construction, and Marchand Construction.

Dale was active in the M.L. Grange in his early years and later was involved with the Basin Horseless Carriage Club, The Columbia Basin Antique Power Club, or the tractor club to him. He was also an active member of the M.L. Classic Car Club, where he is known as the "Windmill Man".

He was forever creating "treasures" for his friends and for auctions in his beloved shop. He participated in the annual Agriculture Parade for many years and 2004 was the Grand Marshall with Caroline. He displayed his collection of antique motors at the rant County Fair for many years entertaining the kids with the bubble machine or the can crushing machine, or making ice cream with his own invention of an ice cream making machine.

Dale was a good friend to many in the community and was always ready to help his friends and family out, we love him and miss him terribly.

He is preceded in death by his daughter Judy Hansen and his wife Caroline Fisher and survived by daughter Jeri Barsz of California and Gary Fisher and Mary Fisher of Moses Lake; son-in-law Mick Hansen of Moses Lake; grandchildren Jeff Hansen of Seattle, Bobby Hansen of Moses Lake and Erin and Sheri Jackson of Seattle.
