Shirley "Pinky" A. Brewer DeShaw

Shirley "Pinky" A. Brewer DeShaw, 77, a resident of Moses Lake since 1942 and former manager of Pinky's Shop of Fashion on Ash Street, passed away Monday, July 23, 2012 in Moses Lake. A Memorial Mass will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 3, 2012 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at the Our Lady of Fatima Columbarium. Pinky was born on January 14, 1935 to George and Maxine Schuster in Kennewick, Washington. She attended school in Moses Lake, then later in Holy Names School in Spokane, returning to graduate in Moses Lake

in 1953. She met and married Dale DeShaw that same year and they raised four boys.

Pinky was a farm wife, a stay-at-home mom, and then went into business for 20 or so years in the clothing business, running "Pinky's House of Fashion" in Moses Lake. Pinky retired and married again with no boys at home and enjoyed life traveling and relaxing until her partner's death in 2011. She lived at Hearthstone Retirement Center for a short time and then moved into her son Michael's home. She loved her desserts, playing bridge with her friends and going out to dinner after church on Saturday.

A big THANK YOU to her sister Barbara, son Jeff DeShaw and Marcella, and family friend, Babs Tachiki! Pinky is survived by sons Michael DeShaw and Jeff DeShaw; sisters Barbara and Sharon of the Schuster family; sisters-in-law Lorna Joanne, and Dorothy of the DeShaw family; grandchildren include Matthew Ryan Mendez, son of Michael DeShaw and Adalia Mendez, Angie Higney daughter of Jeff DeShaw; numerous nieces and nephews.
