Lowland lakes fishing season opens tomorrow
Seattle Daredevil, 9-year-old Livia, uses a rope to swing over Banks Lake before dropping into the cold water. She and best friend, Amelia, repeated the process of using the rope to get them over the water before dropping in for a dip. The girls and their parents were camping at Steamboat Rock State Park.
Ephrata's Dalton Thomas, 12 years old, was another successful turkey hunter on the youth hunt last weekend. His turkey weighted about 23 pounds and had a 9.5-inch beard. This was this third youth hunt, but his first successful one. Way to go Dalton.
