Othello girls finish first
EPHRATA - It was a gorgeous day for golf Monday as Ephrata, Othello, Selah and Prosser got together for CWAC action on the links at the Lakeview Golf and Country Club.
The Huskies, led by Delaney Towle who shot 91, finished first with a team score of 381. Katelyn Andrews and Kylie Kummer carded 96, Mikayla Parris had 98, Hayley Guse shot 99, and Ivone Garza finished with 113.
The Tigers were a close second with 411, the Vikings carded 416, which was good enough for a third place finish. The Mustangs team score was incomplete.
"It was a beautiful day for golf, but we came up short for the win and finished second," Ephrata coach Heidi Burns said. "Othello played an amazing round of golf."
Kendal Sage had the low round for the Tigers with 93. Rachael Autry was just a stoke back at 94, Tressa Davis had a 103, Zoe Tanner turned in a 121, Kailey Lieuallen recorded a 122, and Kaitlyn Autry finished with 135.
Ephrata and Othello were back on the links Tuesday at Suncadia Golf Course in Cle Elum, but the results of the match were not available at press time.
