QUINCY - After dropping a rare doubleheader to Prosser last week, the Huskies came back with a vengeance Saturday with two convincing wins over Quincy.

Neither game was much of a contest as Othello shut out the Jacks by identical 23-0 scores.

Game one

The first game of the twin bill saw goose eggs on the scoreboard after the first inning of play.

But the Huskies bats came alive in the top of the second as the team took a 7-0 lead.

Othello added 13 in the third, one in the fourth and two in the top of the fifth to run away with the game as the Huskies scored 23 runs off 12 hits in the five inning contest.

Kylie Harper had the big stick for Othello going 2-for-4 with a grand slam. Morgan Logan got the win for the Huskies.

Game two

The second game of the doubleheader was pretty much a repeat of game one as Othello scored 23 runs off 20 hits.

Kim Bullis had the hot bat for the Huskies with five hits in five plate appearances with two doubles. Kalinda Kosters was 3-for-4 with a home run,

Daisy Salgado had three hits in five at bats, and Alyssa Martinez, Eveyln Miron and Tori Zambrano had two hits each.

Holly Fleshman was the winning pitcher of record.

Othello was back on the diamond Tuesday, but the results were not available at time of press. Quincy is at Prosser Friday.
