Girls golf takes second
Moses Lake MLHS Chiefs Golf
MOSES LAKE - Terrin Utter shot 91 and Vinci Rios' carded 95 to help lead the Chiefs to a fourth place finish at the Moses Lake Country Club Monday.
Moses Lake set a school record in the process in the fourth POD match of the season with a team score of 393. Richland took top honors with 326, Wenatchee was second with 369, Walla Walla followed with 390, Chiawana was fifth with 412, and Davis and Eisenhower team scores were incomplete.
The Chiefs Vanessa Goodwyn turned in a 101, Kristi Brown shot 106, Emily Dennis carded 110, and Megan O'Neil finished with a 122.
Utter and Rios' shot the best round of their careers at Moses Lake High School.
The Bombers Kristin Strankman was the low round medalist with a 77 on the par 72 course.
The Chiefs are back on the links Monday when they travel to Richland.
