NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY

Finding of No Significant Impact Environment Assessment for the Moses Lake Tribal Trails Travel Plaza, Tracts 64 and 65, Orchard Tracts 33 19 28 Parcels 09038310 and 090384000, Moses Lake Washington, Grant County.

SUMMARY: This notice is to advise interested parties that an Environmental Assessment and a Finding of No Significant Impact concerning taking land into trust for the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation (CCT) and constructing a proposed Moses Lake Tribal Trails Travel Plaza (Travel Plaza) consisting of a twelve position fueling station; a 3,500 square foot convenience store; integrated fast-food program serving breakfast, lunch; and, dinner items, and a 1,000 square foot smoke shop. The proposed Travel Plaza will be located on tax parcel #09038310 and adjacent to tax parcel #090384000 which will remain bare land. Both tax parcels are located near the intersection of Wanapum Drive and Lakeshore Drive, Moses Lake, Washington. Because of the tax parcels location, large truck fueling is not included in the site design.

The BIA has considered and analyzed the environmental effects of constructing and operating the Travel Plaza at Moses Lake, Washington, including the No Action Alternative. This notice is furnished as required by the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Regulations (40 C.F.R. 1503 and 1506.9).
