MOSES LAKE - Armed robbers reportedly forced their way into a Moses Lake home, tied a man up and beat him before stealing cash and drugs.

Moses Lake police responded to a report of a robbery at a residence on Skyline Drive Thursday at about 2:15 a.m., according to Moses Lake Police Capt. Dave Ruffin.

Officers were reportedly told armed suspects had forced their way into the residence where a 25-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were living. The female victim was unharmed during the robbery, but Ruffin stated the male victim was apparently tied up and beaten. The man was subsequently treated and released from Samaritan Hospital.

The suspects took an undisclosed amount of money from the residence along with an undetermined amount of marijuana before fleeing, Ruffin said. The victims reportedly told police they have a medical marijuana license.

At this time it is unknown if the suspects were on foot or in a vehicle, or which direction they traveled away from the house.

They are described as a black male who was around 6 feet tall and weighing between 200 and 220 pounds wearing baggy clothing, accompanied by a white or Hispanic male, 5 foot 6 inches to 5 foot 9 inches tall, weighing 140 to 150 pounds and wearing a black, white and grey sweatshirt with blue jeans.

The case is under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call Det. Juan Rodriguez at 509-764-3887 or 509-762-1160.
