Reader thanks tournament helpers

Several months ago the US Club Puget Sound Premier League asked the Columbia Basin United Football Club if we would like to sponsor the Eastern Washington Qualifier for the Washington Cup. We were excited about the possibility of bringing such a high level soccer tournament to Moses Lake. We knew it couldn't happen without help from the community.

So, thank you to the Moses Lake School District and the Moses Lake Park and Rec Department. The fields and facilities were in great condition!

Thank you to the referee crews, both local and from out of town. The games were completed safely and fairly.

Most of all, thank you to the 35 local volunteers that served as field marshals. We appreciated your help in reporting scores and keeping the spectator areas safe and secure.

We hope to bring this tournament back to Moses Lake next year. Thank you for helping this inaugural tournament be such a success!
