OLYMPIA - Gov. Christine Gregoire has signed a bill into law that will extend opportunities to non-profit agriculture fairs for capital budget grant funding.

The measure was sponsored by 13th District Rep. Judy Warnick, R-Moses Lake.

House Bill 2356 will allow smaller agriculture fairs to apply for grants to make important health and safety upgrades. The 2011-13 capital budget as passed last year includes $1 million for health and safety grants to agricultural fairs.
