Ephrata girls golf takes first

QUINCY - Kendal Sage shot 80 and Tressa Davis carded 85 to lead the Ephrata Tigers to a win at Clockum Ridge Golf Course Tuesday.
Ephrata finished with a team score of 363. Quincy was second with 450, and Toppenish was disqualified.
The Tigers Rachael Autry turned in a 92, Zoe Tannler had a 106, Kaitlyn Autry shot 124, and Kailey Lieuallen finished a stoke back with 125.
"All of the ephrata girls played awesome," coach Heidi Burns said. "Their scores show how hard they are working and how much improvement they are making. I'm hoping, and so are they, that they continue with these great scores. I'm very proud of this team and where they are headed."
Sara Bisner (93) shot the low round for Quincy.
"Sara shot a personal best for this year. Elizabeth Diaz (124), Shelby Basset (114), and Kyla Schaapman (119) have all continued to improve," coach Mark Kondo said. "I was very happy with their scores because they are better than at the beginning of the season. However, we as a team know we need to continue to improve and the girls have been putting in the effort."
Ephrata is back in the swing of things today when the Tigers participate in the Wally Johnson Invite at the Suntides Golf Course in Yakima.
The Jacks are back on the links April 26 when Quincy travels to Ellensburg to match up with the Bulldogs and Grandview Greyhounds.
