Community help needed for the seniors' projects
ROYAL CITY - Royal High School teacher Andrew Perkins is seeking help in putting together community panels for senior projects.
The dates for the panels will be Monday, April 30, Tuesday, May 1 and Thursday, May 3. Seniors will give their annual PowerPoint presentations on their career search.
"They are looking for community volunteers to serve on a presentation-interview panel," Perkins said. "No grading is done, but the students are looking for input and advice on how they should proceed along their career path."
Panel members will listen to three presentations each night, starting at 6 p.m. and not lasting past 9 p.m. They can volunteer for one night or all three.
"Students will start contacting community members this week to serve on the panels, but each year I have community members who said they did not know about it," Perkins said. "They can show up those nights, and we will put them on a panel."
For more information regarding these state-required senior projects, you may contact Perkins at the school at 346-2256 or at 431-1023.
