MOSES LAKE - Grant County Fire District 5 responded to two small structure fires over the weekend.

The first occurred about 6:30 p.m. Saturday, on Pershing Road, north of Moses Lake, where a juvenile male reportedly sparked a brief-lived blaze by playing with matches, according to Grant County Fire District 5 officials.

Some dry grass inside a shed caught fire but was reportedly extinguished before fire crews arrived on scene.

The second incident occurred Saturday at about 10 p.m. on Stoneridge Road Northeast, just west of Moses Lake, when a heater reportedly caused a greenhouse to catch fire. The greenhouse was reportedly a total loss.

In both cases, no other structures were threatened at any time, fire officials said.
