BREWSTER - The Cougars were looking to steal a road win when they took to the pavement to match up with the Brewster Bears Tuesday.

But they had trouble generating any offense and were sent home with a disappointing 1-0 loss.

Neither team produced a goal in the first 40 minutes of action as the Warden and Brewster were knotted up 0-0 at intermission.

The Bears took a 1-0 lead off a corner kick five minutes into the second half of play and that was all Brewster needed to pull out the win.

The Bears had 10 shots on frame to the Cougars six. Warden's keeper Osbaldo Alba had four saves for Warden.

The loss drops the Cougars to 2-1 in the 2B Central Washington Conference and 5-3 overall.

Warden is back on the pitch Saturday when the Cougars host Manson at 1 p.m.
