Convergence Zone to play on Saturday
The husband and wife team of Don (bass) and Sue (fiddle & lead vocal) Thompson team up with guitarist Chuck Crawford, mandolin-player/vocals Greg Gallagher, and banjo player Jim Blue to form the Convergence Zone Band. They hail from western Washington.
GEORGE – Convergence Zone, which has performed at the George Fourth of July Celebration and the George Bluegrass Festival, will be on stage for this Saturday's edition of the CoffeeHouse Concert series.
The CoffeeHouse Concert series is sponsored by the George Community Hall. Admission is $3 per person. Children 12 and under get in free. A hat-pass will be taken for the musicians (suggested donation $8 - $11).
Refreshments will be provided by the Georgettes, commonly known as George's community cheerleaders. Donations for the refreshments will go to the George Beautification Project, which will provide for floral plantings in George this summer.
The CoffeeHouse Concert is held at the George Community Hall at 403 W. Montmorency in George. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and concert start time is 7 p.m.
