Othello - Jorge Campos had two goals and four assist, Enrique Romero scored twice, and Martel Saucedo recorded his seventh shut out of the season to lead Othello to a 6-0 win over  visiting Toppenish Monday.

The victory improves the Huskies to 3-0 in CWAC play and 9-0 overall.

"Coming off spring break in which we had  very little practice and little time to prepare for the match after the win over Grandview Saturday, I thought the team responded quit well," coach Bernie Garza  said. " I was really impressed in the second half of the match in our manner of play.  It was awesome to see such a complete game for the first time this year."

The match against the Wildcats got off to a slow start offensive wise for Othello, as the first score of the contest came at the 21 minute-mark on a goal by Fredy Agustin (Compos) to give the Huskies a 1-0 lead.

Campos stuck back-to-back goals in the 34th minute of action (Ociel Romero) and the 50th minute of  play (Enrique Romero)  to increase the score to 3-0.

Ociel Romero (Campos) made it 4-0 four minutes later and the rout was on.

Othello got back-to-back goals by Enrique Romero (assists by Campos) at the 72 and 77 minute-marks to make it 6-0 and round out the scoring for the match.

The Huskies had 34 shots on frame to the Wildcats seven. Saucedo had five saves for Othello.

"Like the saying goes, there is no I in team, and when you play like a team no one can stop you," Garza said. "Jorge  had one of his best games all year as he got two goals and four assists. He had an opportunity to get his first hat trick of the year as he beat two defenders down the left side of the field and faked out the goalie. But, instead of blasting a shot and taking his chances,  he passed the ball to  Enrique who was wide open and he blasted the ball in from two yards out to score his second goal of the match."

Othello is back in action when the Huskies host the East Valley Red Devils Saturday at noon.
