Gregory G. DeShaw, 57, longtime Moses Lake resident passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2012 in Moses Lake. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with Father Dan Dufner officiating. Gregory was born on August 10, 1954 in Moses Lake, Washington to Dale A. DeShaw and Shirley (Schuster) Brewer. He attended school in Moses Lake and graduated in Corvallis, Oregon. After graduation, he enlisted in the Navy, where he worked on submarines. After his honorable discharge he returned to Moses Lake. Greg worked many jobs in Moses Lake before he injured his back. He went to Seattle and worked for Ernst & Young, an accounting firm. Greg retired from Ernst & Young and returned to Moses Lake to be closer to his family. He enjoyed coaching his girls softball team (Hot Mamas). Greg loved being with family and friends and especially enjoyed sports and animals.
He is survived by his mother, Shirley Brewer, Moses Lake; brothers Jeff (Marcella) DeShaw and Mike DeShaw both of Moses Lake and Eric DeShaw of Seattle; sister Nora (David) Armstrong of Seattle; his steady, Roberta (Berta); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Greg was preceded in death by his father, Dale A. DeShaw , brother, Bradley DeShaw and grandparents.
