EPHRATA - Grant County law enforcement helped catch 13 wanted felons recently.

Twelve members of a U.S. Marshals joint task force found and arrested 13 felons wanted on a variety of outstanding warrants.

The task force's job is to actively seek and arrest individuals with active felony warrants, said Chief Deputy Ryan Rectenwald of the sheriff's office, on Friday. The arrests were scheduled ahead of time, he added.

The task force includes officers from the Grant County Sheriff's Office, Moses Lake Police Department, Kennewick Police Department, Benton County Sheriff's Office, Deputy U.S. Marshals from Tri-Cities and Spokane and agents from the state Department of Corrections

The felons caught by the task force and jailed are: Tabitha A. Sanchez, 40, Moses Lake; Danny R. Homer, 44, Moses Lake; Dennis D. Camden, 48, Moses Lake; Forest T. Lybbert, 25, Moses Lake; Joseph A. Achten, 19, Soap Lake; Corinne A. Fischer, 52, Moses Lake; Richard N. Collins, 43, Moses Lake; Glen D. Collins, 49, Moses Lake; Shawndrae D. Huff, 33, Moses Lake; Matthew A. Fredley, 34, Moses Lake; Robert Hernandez, 21, Mattawa; Longino Martinez Espindola, 27, Mattawa; and Shawn R. McLanahan, 41, Moses Lake.

It was unusual to arrest so many wanted felons on a single day, said Rectenwald.

"It's an unusual event and yes, it doesn't happen all the time, but hopefully with the cooperation with the U.S. Marshals, it's going to happen more often," he said.

If people know where an individual with a felony warrant is located, they can call the sheriff's office at 509-754-2011, ext. 468, or anonymously email [email protected], said Rectenwald.
