MOSES LAKE - Get ready for food, drinks and art.

Columbia Basin Allied Arts holds their third annual Art Soiree fundraiser and auction 6 p.m. on April 13 at the Masto Conference Center in Big Bend Community College's ATEC building.

Attendees will be serenaded by pianist Connor Boss and Chikako Kanehisa, who will travel from Japan to demonstrate her skill on the koto, a traditional Japanese stringed instrument.

Attendees will have the opportunity to mingle with local artists, including Matt Woo. His piece "Beat of My Heart" will be available in the live auction.

Gourmet appetizers and premium beer and wine tasting are on the menu, including a custom-made wine from Dry Falls Cellars. The 2012 "Primary Red" is a blend of Cinsault, Malbec, Chardonnay, Sangiovese and Cabernet available for $30.00 per bottle.

The event is the organization's only fundraiser, said executive director Pat Daugherty. It helps pay for the upcoming season, which includes premiere performances featuring a variety of entertainers, as well as the Green Turtle Series of performances for children.

During the last Allied Arts season, students were provided $5 tickets to see the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra and Live It Up! Productions, said Daugherty. Offering them steeply discounted tickets helps keeps kids interested in the arts, she added.

Tickets are $50 and are available at ARTGARDEN Pottery, 104 W. Third Ave., Moses Lake. They can also be purchased by calling the Allied Arts office at 509-793-2059.
