Hazardous incident near George handled quickly

GEORGE - Firefighters responded to a hazardous materials incident which involved a fire near State Hwy 281 and County Road 1 NW near George on Thursday.
The fire was out almost immediately, and there is no immediate risk to life or health, Grant County Sheriff Tom Jones said. The fire was held to a container holding about 800-gallons of dry fertilizer.
