Watch for work, events on area highways
WENATCHEE – Motorists are advised to be on the lookout for people on works crews and people involved in activities on area highways in the coming days and week, says Jeff Adamson, Washington State Department of Transportation Communications.
Saturday, Mar. 31, on SR 28, for seven miles between Palisades and Crescent Bar Roads, there will be 100 riders on the shoulder participating in the 80-mile Gran Fondo-Ephrata bike tour.
Work began Monday on I-90, (MP 137-148), Vantage to George crack seal repairs. They will continue through Thursday go for several weeks.
From 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m., expect two-mile sections of one of the four lanes to be closed at a time when maintenance crews are repairing cracks in the pavement. Work should be complete by Apr. 20, depending on weather.
