MOSES LAKE - Moses Lake police responded to a reported early-morning stabbing on Marina Drive.

Officers arrived at about 4:30 a.m. Friday to find a 46-year-old male resident who told them he'd been stabbed in the shoulder and the stomach by an unknown assailant, according to Moses Lake Police Capt. Dave Ruffin.

The victim told police he'd heard something outside of his residence and, when he stepped out to see what it might be, he was "jumped and stabbed" by two suspects of unknown description who then ran away, according to a Grant County dispatch report.

The injures were reportedly shallow and the man is currently in stable condition and being treated at Samaritan Hospital, Ruffin said Friday afternoon. Information is limited and the victim was unable to provide any details about the incident, he added.

The case is under investigation and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Moses Lake Police Department at 509-764-3887 or 509-762-1160.
