New Big Lots store seeks 60 hires today, tomorrow

MOSES LAKE - The new Big Lots store, set to open in mid-November, will be looking for up 60 new hires today and tomorrow at a hiring event WorkSource Central Basin.

WorkSource Central Basin is located at 309 E 5th Ave. the hiring event will take place from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. WorkSource personnel will hand out applications. Big Lots personnel will review them and selected candidates for interview.

"There will be lots of interviews," WSCB Business Outreach Specialist Sandi Watson said. "They are looking for 50-60 people."

According to Watson, pay for these jobs will be from minimum wage up, depending on and applicant's experience. Big Lots is seeking to fill two supervisory positions.

Hiring decisions will be made within two weeks, Watson said. She added that as many as 40 of the new hires may be retained after the holidays.
