Wahluke drops volleyball opener

MATTAWA - It was a tough regular season opener for the Wahluke High School volleyball team in the Wahluke gym on Saturday.
The White Swan Cougars won in three games, but the Warriors were competitive in two. White Swan won 25-23, 25-23 and 25-17.
Middle hitter Tania Mendez led the Warrior attack with seven kills on offense and 11 digs on defense.
Marleny Garcia had eights kills to lead in that category. Wendy Garcia had 15 assists to lead in that department.
