Moses Lake Residents, Rob Harbin and Ron Oakland, enjoyed a great day of trout fishing off Medicare Beach. They used Rapala Shad Raps # 4 for their fish.

MARDON RESORT - As November approaches Pintail, Green-Winged Teal, Goldeneye, Redheads and Large Western Mallards are showing the beginning of the migration of birds from the north. Even Bluebills in groups of 50 are showing in the Potholes Recreation Area recently. (Remember Bluebills may not be harvested until December 1, 2011).

On Oct. 26 we saw mature Canvasbacks in the sand dune area. The Artic Lessers have been reported just north of Potholes Reservoir near Banks Lake. We are all looking forward to those big flights of geese moving a little further south to the Potholes Recreation Area to start off a great season!

The Fall Walleye Fishing is still in full swing on Potholes Reservoir. The Potholes Canal was shut off early last week and now the water level on Potholes Reservoir is rising rapidly. This will allow better boat access to the sand dunes for fishers and waterfowl hunters.
