SHOC offers money for best Christmas star

ROYAL CITY - SHOC (Strengthening the Heart of the Community)  is asking residents and business owners to create and light a star at their homes or places of business.

As an incentive, SHOC is putting prizes of $100 each for the best stars. Site suggestions are front yard, window, business front or roof.

There is additional information in the contest entry form, which is available after Nov. 3 at Royal City Hall, the Royal City Library and U.S. Bank. 

Entries must be in by 5 p.m. on Dec. 14.
