CBBS volleyball beats Bridgeport
BRIDGEPORT - The Columbia Basin Secondary School (CBBS) Lady Phoenix Volleyball Team traveled to Bridgeport to take on the Fillies
and came away with a three set win (25-16, 25-9,25-17).
The win improves the Phoenix record to 1-7 in league play and 5-10 overall.
"The girls were able to play clean and capitalize on Bridgeport's mistakes," coach Terri Pixlee said. "It was a real morale booster for the team."
Crystal Lloyd led the attack for the Phoenix with four kills and one ace.
Madison Hansen added two aces, two assists and one kill, Amber Lloyd contributed one kill and two aces and Emilee Hieronymus finished with one kill, one ace and two assists. Pixlee said Hieronymus was really on fire from behind the service line.
"She had a great game," she said. "At one point in the game she had 13 straight serves."
CBSS has two games left in regular season play. The Phoenix travel to Easton Tuesday, then finish at home Thursday against Moses Lake Christian Academy.
