Phyllis Lybbert

Phyllis Rose Lybbert, age 55, passed away October 15, 2011.

Phyllis was born February 13, 1956 in Flagstaff, Arizona to Julia and Victor Munoz. She grew up throughout Washington State. The Alexander family settled in Moses Lake. Phyllis graduated from Moses Lake High School class of 1974. It was there she met her adoring husband of 37 years C. Terry Lybbert. They were married June 13, 1974. They lived there for 13 years during which 6 of their 7 children were born. In April of 1987 a very pregnant Phyllis and Terry packed up Mandee, Dustin, Marcy, April, Annell and Andrew and moved to Sammamish, WA. Their youngest Felicia was born a few weeks later. They have lived in Sammamish for 24 years.

Phyllis was a loving wife and a devoted mother of 7 children and grandmother of 15 grandchildren. Each of which she loved and adored. She loved flowers and made sure her garden was always blooming. Phyllis liked to read and could always be found with a book. She was a talented seamstress and cook. She loved children and was a nanny for many families besides watching her own grandchildren at any opportunity. She is remembered as a loving, generous, tender wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.

Survivors include her loving husband, Terry Lybbert of Sammamish; children, Mandee (Nathan) Quinton of North Bend, Dustin (Shirlee) Lybbert of Auburn, Marcy (Joshua) Day of Wasilla, AK, April (Brett) Henry of Corning, CA, Annell Searing of Snoqualmie and Andrew (Virginia) Lybbert of Provo, UT; her mother Julia Blomgren of North Bend; 15 grandchildren and a host of extended family members and friends.

Preceded in death by her daughter Felicia Hollis Lybbert.

A funeral service will be held 9 AM, Friday, October 21, 2011 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 26529 SE Duthie Hill Road, Issaquah, WA. A graveside dedication will be held the same day as the funeral service at 2:30 PM at Guarding Angels Cemetery in Moses Lake, WA.
