Ellensburg football squeaks by Quincy 29-21

QUINCY - It was a cold damp night at Jaycee Stadium, when the Quincy Jacks hosed Ellensburg in CWAC grid iron action Friday.

The Bulldogs, looking to keep pace with Prosser (5-0), and distance themselves from Othello (4-1) and Selah (4-1), found the going a bit rougher than they bargained for, as Ellensburg had to come back from a 21 point deficit for the win.

"I was really happy with the way we started the game," coach Stephen Wallace said. "This was the first time we've come out on the field and didn't feel intimidated by anyone."

Quincy received the opening kickoff to the start the game and on the teams' first snap, the Jacks Antonio Melendez ran the ball around the right tackle for a 30-yard gain.
