Board of Health to meet Wednesday

EPHRATA - A public health report on whooping cough will be on tap when the Grant County Board of Health has its monthly meeting here on Wednesday, Oct. 12.

The meeting will be held in the public works meeting room at 124 Enterprise Street SE. It will get under way at 7 p.m.

A public forum for citizen comment will be early on the agenda. There will be a public hearing on a composting variance.

The Community Public Health Report will deal with the ongoing Pertussis (whooping cough) outbreak, an influenza plan, a Royal City Flu Clinic and the Healthy Communities project.

The Health Officer's report will consider the cost of the Pertussis outbreak and include an update on foodborne illness.
